Saudi Arabia’s DataVolt has decided to set up a data center at a cost of 100 million U.S. dollars in Bangladesh’s Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City (BHTC) in Gazipur on the outskirts of Dhaka.
DataVolt Chief Strategy Officer Ayad Al Amri made this announcement on Tuesday at a meeting with Bangladeshi State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak in Dhaka.
Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) said it has agreed to allot 3 acres of land in the high-tech city for setting up the modern data center.
Highlighting the potentials of the hi-tech park, the junior minister assured DataVolt, a leading service provider in the Data Management industry, of giving all-out support from the Bangladeshi government.
